Landscaping with Decorative Stone

Natural stone is one of the most versatile elements available for a landscape makeover. Landscaping with rocks adds texture and contrast, providing durable groundcover that requires little or no maintenance. In these images we used decorative stone to create natural tree rings on a job site this summer. Check out the link below for more ways to incorporate stone into your landscape.

Zabel- Hardscape & Lighting

Enjoy your outdoor entertainment space long after the sun sets with landscape lighting! For the best effects plan to use a variety of fixtures to illuminate all your yard features like trees, shrubs, pathways, water features, and more!

Check out these before and after images of a boulder retaining wall reset!

The wall and decorative stone was beginning to settle quite a bit along the house foundation, so our crew went in, and re-graded the decorative stone level along the house, and reset the boulder wall. Great job!

Creating a Dry Creek Bed- Straus project

A dry creek handles a common landscape challenge—drainage—with an easy-does-it approach. In some situations, a dry creek simply directs and disperses water that would normally puddle and stand a few days. In other cases, a dry bed transforms into a temporary stream. In the process, it adds beauty to the setting, whether wet or dry. This particular project, we installed a french drain, and dry creek bed to help capture water, and also did some window well work.

Leigl Residence- Lawn Install

The fox valley hasn't received a good rainfall in many weeks making new lawn installs very difficult. Newly seeded lawns should be kept moist at all times until approximately one inch of growth is apparent. In the spring and summer this is best accomplished by watering 2-3 times per day 10-15 minutes each time, preferably early mornings and evening hours. As the lawn becomes established, it will only require one watering per day, approximately 20-30 minutes. Lawn & plants need water to thrive! Please keep this in mind if you have recently installed a new lawn or new plantings during this dry spell.
